It's Cocktail O'Clock at EDA!

Hey, friends!

Our bartenders have been busy! We’ve been working behind the bar developing new cocktails made specifically for quarantine (read: Batched! Easy to make at home! Classics with a twist!) and we think we’ve got some winners for our new COVID cocktail menu.

Here’s our new cocktails we’ve added to our lineup:

  • Double Cross Vodka Watermelon Lemonade

  • Americano Mule

  • Irish Mule

  • Cucumber Gimlet

  • Mangocano RUM Slushie (Weekends Only)

  • Hibiscus Margarita Slushie (Weekends Only)

DOUBLE CROSS VODKA WATERMELON LEMONADE

Ingredients: Double Cross Vodka, fresh lemon juice and watermelon sparkling wine

Instructions: Tip bottle upside down to mix. Shake with ice, and strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with lemon twist. Enjoy!

Our newest cocktail takes our newest Vodka from our friends at Double Cross (a small batch Slovakian vodka distiller we just found, trust us, their vodka is smooth and delicious!), and riffs on a classic summer treat: fresh squeezed pink lemonade! We add sparkling wine with a hint of watermelon, simple syrup, and lots of lemon juice to create a truly refreshing summer throwback cocktail. Sip away your Saturday night with this fresh, citrusy, smooth cocktail. We love pairing it with our Salmon Beurre Blanc bowl for a lighter meal packed with flavor! 

AMERICANO MULE

Ingredients: Vodka, fresh lime, simple syrup, ginger beer

Instructions: turn the bottle upside down to mix (it’s carbonated, so don’t shake!), pour over ice, and garnish with mint and lemon wedge. Cheers!

You can never go wrong with a refreshing, sharp, delicious Mule on a hot afternoon. We took the classic Mule and made it the Americano way -- super bright, sharp ginger, a lot of lime, and some really great vodka. It’s easy to make, easy to drink, and easy to refill! We love it with any of our salads for a refreshing, light meal, or paired with our Happy Hour Nachos, or our Southwest Chicken-On-A-Bun sandwich! However you choose to pair it, we know you’ll enjoy it.    

IRISH MULE

Ingredients: Jameson, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, ginger beer

Instructions: turn the cocktail bottle upside down to mix (it’s carbonated, so don’t shake!), pour over ice, garnish a lemon wedge and mint. Enjoy!

Take a sip and imagine you’re in Dublin at a pub, instead of your apartment! Take your staycation and upgrade it with this cocktail. We don’t mess with a classic Jameson and ginger beer combo, and use the freshest lime juice and house-made simple syrup to sweeten it up. Add your freezing cold mule copper mug, a fresh mint sprig, and transport yourself to Ireland! We love this cocktail alongside our Shepherd’s Pie, or our Corned Beef Brisket entree. 

CUCUMBER GIMLET

Ingredients: Gin, fresh lime juice, cucumber juice, celery juice, mint juice & splash of simple syrup

Instructions: Shake batch in container, pour 1/2 mixture for 1 serving or all the mixture for 2 servings into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a mint leaf -- don’t forget to slap the leaf to release the essence oils first!

Gimlets are a cocktail classic, and should have a spot on every cocktail bar menu in town. We kick ours up a bit with the addition of fresh cucumber juice, a bit of fresh celery juice for bite, and lots of fresh mint. Our ideal light summer drink, perfect for sipping away your afternoons on a patio somewhere… We love its fresh, vibrant green color, and recommend pairing it with our chef’s pick charcuterie board, or our flatbreads, like the Olive Oil and Popeye! 


MANGOCANO SLUSHIE

Ingredients: Mango, rum, jalapeno-infused simple syrup, raw sugar, lime juice

Instructions: Imagine you’re on a tropical beach, and enjoy!

Our new slushie is amazing! We infuse jalapenos for our simple syrup that balances the tropical mango and zingy lime, add rum, and turn it into a frozen slushie! We love garnishing it with a lime wedge and pairing it with any of our On-A-Bun sandwiches. A Mangocano or two + our slow roasted Pulled Pork sandwich = our Saturday afternoon plans!

HIBISCUS MARGARITA SLUSHIE

Ingredients: Arette Reposado Tequila, fresh lime juice, housemade hibiscus syrup

Instructions: It’s already blended, so start sipping!

We think this is the ultimate cool-off drink for a hot summer weekend! Arette reposado tequila is blended with our house-made hibiscus simple syrup (we steep hibiscus tea to make it!) and fresh squeezed limes, and “slushified” (blended with ice) to make this the EDA Official 2020 Drink of the Summer! It’s weekends only, so we recommend pairing this with our breakfast burrito, for those hair-of-the-dog mornings-turned afternoons when all you want is all-day brunch! Plus, we bet there’s no way that bright pink color can’t make you smile! 

We can also make this without the hibiscus syrup, if you’re craving a classic frozen margarita… Also delicious! Goes great with our empanadas, and beautifully balances the spice in our Togarashi Fried Chicken Sandwich! Perfect for lazy Saturdays spent on a patio.
