See Ya, Summer... Hello Fall! Upcoming at EDA this Season!

Fall is almost here, friends!

We’re excited to talk this week about our new additions on the horizon… we’re adding some delicious beer, celebrating one of our favorite cocktails ever (for a good cause!) and eagerly awaiting some of our favorite fall menu items to make an appearance on our menu. Let’s dive into it -- keep reading to see what EDA has got planned for this fall!

New Beers! Including Fort Point and Modern Times additions

With the changing of the seasons, comes the rotating of the taps! We’re so excited to swap out some of our beers with new fall offerings. We are huge fans of Modern Times Brewery (we already have their Milk Stout on tap) and are bringing in their Space Ways Hazy IPA, which while it doesn’t have traditional fall flavors in its profile (nectarines, mango, lime) we love it for its crisp, refreshing taste that balances out some of our favorite heartier fall dishes.

Check out our Fort Point beer selection, also! We love this brewery out of San Francisco, and feature a lot of their beers that we’re told are hard to come by down south. We currently offer their KSA (Kolsch), Dipper (Imperial/Double IPA), Strawberry Darling (Strawberry Berliner Weisse), Cool (Cold Fermented IPA), and their SFIZIO (Italian Style Pilsner). If you’re looking for some unusual flavor profiles, we suggest any of their super drinkable, delicious beer.

Negronis

Featured Cocktail: EDA’s White Negroni for #NegroniWeek (ending this weekend!)

One of our best selling cocktails is also helping a great cause! It’s #NegroniWeek this week which ends this weekend (from the 14th through the 20th) and proceeds from each order will go towards the #NegroniWeek initiative to help restaurants and restaurant workers who need some additional funds as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you’re interested in the cause and want to learn more about donations, visit the #NegroniWeek website

Our White Negroni is a fantastic riff on a classic cocktail. We start with a base of Amass Gin, from a local distillery here in the Arts District. Then we add Italicus, Lillet Blanc, and Lo-Fi Dry Vermouth. Lo-Fi is one of our favorite vendors, and we love to feature their incredible Dry Vermouth in this classic drink! To taste yourself, visit our website to order, call us directly, or visit our to-go window and enjoy this classic on our patio!

If you’re looking to really embrace the new fall season, look no further than our Americano Old Fashioned. We love the classics, and our bartenders love creating new ways to enjoy these time-tested recipes. Not only is it a best seller this time of year, but it evokes the flavor profiles of the new season. We use Rittenhouse Straight Rye Whiskey, from Heaven Hill Distillery, which harkens back to the type of spicy, distinct flavor of whiskey originally produced in the American colonies. Next, we add bitters, muddled brown sugar, and an orange peel. Served over a big ice cube, it’s the perfect way to savor the changing of the seasons.

We’re working on finalizing our new Fall Cocktails list, so check back with us in the coming weeks as we roll out our new cocktails! We’ll announce them on our blog, so stay tuned! We’re excited about our offerings this year, and while we can’t give out too many hints, we’re keeping our current operations in mind -- so expect some more batched cocktails, and cocktail kits coming your way very soon!

Bratwurst Special

Classic Fall Menu Additions: They’re Back!

You know that we love our seasonal ingredients here at EDA, so we’re very excited to bring back some old favorites our regulars crave, and newcomers rave about.

First up: our Soft Shell Crab Sandwich is returning to our menu! It’s got our fresh soft shell crab, wakame seaweed and saffron aioli, all on an English muffin. Trust us, you’ve got to try it!

We are also offering our Octoberfest Bratwurst Special in the spirit of the season! Join us for your Octoberfest celebrations and try this culinary trip to Germany.

We’ve got lots in store for the upcoming months, check back for updates as we celebrate the new season! As always, remember to #eatlocal, #drinklocal, and #supportlocalrestaurants.

Til next week!
